Why Jesus' prayers were answered by Father?

Ref: Hebrews 5:7 (AMP)

In the days of His flesh [Jesus] offered up definite, special petitions [for that which He not only wanted but needed] and supplications with strong crying and tears to Him Who was [always] able to save Him [out] from death, and He was heard because of His reverence toward God [His godly fear, His piety, in that He shrank from the horrors of separation from the bright presence of the Father].

I am taking directly from the verse:

He was heard because:

  1. His reverence toward God (Godly fear)
  2. He distanced Himself from the horrors of separation from the fellowship of the Father (remember His cry on the cross: Lord, Lord, why have you forsaken me!!!)
If  a perfect man like Jesus worried about His separation from the Father, how much more you and I should be concerned about it?

The refiners fire...

"He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver." Malachi 3:3 This verse puzzled some women in a Bible study And they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God. One of the women offered to find out the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible Study. That week, the woman called a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn't mention anything about the reason for her interest beyond her curiosity about the process of refining silver. The Lord is my Light and the Rock of salvation

Read Pslams 27:1 - 3 1 THE LORD is my Light and my Salvation--whom shall I fear or dread? The Lord is the Refuge and Stronghold of my life--of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked, even my enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. 3 Though a host encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, [even then] in this will I be confident. In this Psalm, the author sings with confidence "The Lord is my light and the rock of my salvation. Whom shall I fear, whom shall I fear".
