Life of Job from Bible speaks to us...

Job's life was reviewed and testified by three people as we read in the bible. He was testied by the author and God as "This man was blameless and upright; he feared God ahd shunned evil".

Satan confesses about the blessedness of Job, "Have you(God) not put a hedge around him and his household and every thing he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land."

From Job's life we see that Satan tries to accuse God's people all the time. But we need to take courage because God has washed our sins and made us righteous through the blood of Jesus Christ. As long as you take refuge under the blood of Jesus Christ, you have right standing before God.

After his children were wiped out, his wealth was destroyed by various attacks created by Satan, after losing everything, Job submits himself with humility under God's might hand with an attitude of worship and worships God saying, "Naked I came from my mother's womb and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised". What an attitude of courage and mature character Job shows here. As some body said, "It doesn't matter what happens to you, but all that matters is how you react to what happens to you".

Job can come out with such an attitude because he didn't develop any attachment to his material things and not even with his family. He knows that these are all the blessings given by God and he very well acknowledged that they belong to God 100%, which means Job has brought them under God's control and he has given God the right to take them anytime God pleases.

Perfect Peace and protection

"You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts you" - Isaiah 26:3 We all long for peace in our life. There are people who are willing to offer anything in exchange for peace. Peace is very much essential for any successful relationship, whether it is between two nations or among people. In fact, one needs to be at peace with himself to become successful in life. In the above verse from the Bible, God is promising to keep him in perfect peace . The important phrase to note is " perfect peace ". One thing to note is that this is peace from God, which comes from above. If we read this verse in amplified version, it is beautifully described as " you will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace ...". This peace is perfect peace - There is nothing that needs to be added or in want of beyond this peace This peace is constant peace, which means this will not be taken away There is protection (God will guard him) Next, we...

Word of Authority

During the time when Jesus was on this earth, there was a Centurion in the city of Capernaum. One of his bond servants fell ill to the point of death. When he came to know that Jesus was in the city, he sent some men to request Jesus to come to his house and heal the servant. After some time, he sent some more men to implore him not to come under his roof, but just to speak word of healing. What made the centurion to change his mind? The centurion understood the power of word spoken with authority. In his daily life he had been experiencing it when he commands the soldiers and servants under him. "For I also am a man [daily] subject to authority, with soldiers under me. And I say to one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my bond servant, Do this, and he does it." Luke 7:8 The same principle he applied towards Jesus. He heard about Jesus - His word carrying authority to forgive sins and heal the sick people. He must have reasoned out that if my word...

The Lord is my Light and the Rock of salvation

Read Pslams 27:1 - 3 1 THE LORD is my Light and my Salvation--whom shall I fear or dread? The Lord is the Refuge and Stronghold of my life--of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked, even my enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. 3 Though a host encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, [even then] in this will I be confident. In this Psalm, the author sings with confidence "The Lord is my light and the rock of my salvation. Whom shall I fear, whom shall I fear". Important fact to note is the confidence with which he sings. Many times, we go through our days without confidence and peace that we observe in the psalmist. The author goes to the extent of declaring that he will not be afraid even if an enemy encamps around him or a war comes up. There is a promise in the Bible, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything with prayers and thanksgiving submit your requests to God and the ...
