Perfect Peace and protection

"You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts you" - Isaiah 26:3 We all long for peace in our life. There are people who are willing to offer anything in exchange for peace. Peace is very much essential for any successful relationship, whether it is between two nations or among people. In fact, one needs to be at peace with himself to become successful in life. In the above verse from the Bible, God is promising to keep him in perfect peace . The important phrase to note is " perfect peace ". One thing to note is that this is peace from God, which comes from above. If we read this verse in amplified version, it is beautifully described as " you will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace ...". This peace is perfect peace - There is nothing that needs to be added or in want of beyond this peace This peace is constant peace, which means this will not be taken away There is protection (God will guard him) Next, we

What is your delight?

Read Psalms 37:4 "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart" While I was going through Psalms 37, I came across this wonderful promise of God that assures that He will bring to pass the desires of our heart. Isn't it wonderful to know that God will fulfill our desires, dreams and plans. I am sure many of us would have wondered why our prayers are not being answered. This is one of the promises that gives key to prayers that brings an answer from God. The key to answered prayers and fulfilled heart's desires is " Delighting yourself in the Lord " What does it mean to delight in the Lord? What are the practical ways one can delight himself in the Lord? Here are some ways that we could delight in the Lord: Delighting in the Law of God (Commands, instructions) Psalms 1:2 Obedience to the Lord Delighting in God's promises, having confidence that He will fulfill them In spending time with the Lord through prayers and Bible Stu

A testimony of God's protection

It was around 5AM on 3rd May 2012, while I was traveling in the bus that the bus met with an accident when a truck almost collided with the bus. The truck went on scraping the side of the bus, leaving the front glasses of the bus broken and very few minor injuries to 2 or 3 passengers. If it would have been another 2 or 3 inches inside, it would have been a major accident. I was thanking God for His protection and watching over us. To day morning, while I was driving to the church, a car comes in the opposite direction (even though the road I was traveling is supposed to be one-way) and I almost would have hit the car. But in the last minute, we slowed down and escaped the accident. At this point, I was reminded of God's protection over me again and am putting down this testimony to thank God for He is watching over me. Psalms 121 describes God as the Lord, who watches over His people. He neither slumber nor sleep but keeps a watch over His people. I was reminded of this fact in b

Why Jesus' prayers were answered by Father?

Ref: Hebrews 5:7 (AMP) In the days of His flesh [Jesus] offered up definite, special petitions [for that which He not only wanted but needed] and supplications with strong crying and tears to Him Who was [always] able to save Him [out] from death, and He was heard because of His reverence toward God [His godly fear, His piety, in that He shrank from the horrors of separation from the bright presence of the Father]. I am taking directly from the verse: He was heard because: His reverence toward God (Godly fear) He distanced Himself from the horrors of separation from the fellowship of the Father (remember His cry on the cross: Lord, Lord, why have you forsaken me!!!) If  a perfect man like Jesus worried about His separation from the Father, how much more you and I should be concerned about it? Technorati Tags: Jesus , Prayer , Father , Answer , Fear , Fellowship
